Principles of Plant Biology

Principles of biology, with an emphasis on plants and the importance of science in daily life. Topics include energy metabolism, cell biology, plant physiology, genetics, evolution, ecology, agriculture, and the environment. Students will learn to use these principles to predict human impacts on the environment.

Lab is not required. This class complements Organismal Plant Biology, but these two classes do not form a sequence. They can be taken independently or in any order, including concurrently.

Not open to students with credit in BIOL 1103, BIOL 1103E, BIOL 2103H
