Graduate Student Email: mshenson@uga.edu Lab: Chung Lab | Miller Plant Sciences Research Research Areas: Ecology & Global Change Research Interests: My research examines the impacts of fire on soil microbial diversity, structure, and function across time. Specifically, I'm interested in understanding how plant and soil microbial communities respond to fire regimes and the mechanisms that drive post-fire reassembly in longleaf pine savannas.
