Nov 2014:Congratulations to PBIO Graduate Student Uma Nagendra (Peterson lab) for winning first prize in the Dance-Your-PhD contest. She was a finalist in this international competition, with a dance piece using trapeze to illustrate how soil pathogens might influence patterns of regeneration after a tornado. Special thanks to all those who supported Uma by voting for her video. For winning the biology category and the overall prize, Nagendra will receive $1,000 and a free trip to Stanford University where her video will be screened at the annual scholarly publishing meeting organized by HighWire press.
