Kierson Jones graduated with a BS in Plant Biology in December 2014. He is currently working as a technician on multiple projects in Dr. Khang's lab. He is studying rice blast (Magnaporthe oryzae), a destructive fungal pathogen of rice. His research involves early post-penetration fungal morphology and development, extra-invasive hyphal membrane (EIHM) dynamics, and comparative transcriptome analysis in rice roots.
