Image: This year, the Plant Biology Graduate Student Association (PBGSA) sponsored the "Future Plant Scientist" award at the 2015 Georgia Science and Engineering Fair here in Athens. Graduate students spent half a day meeting with middle and high school students from across the state to discuss and judge their projects and encourage their continued participation in science. The students ultimately chose to award Maggie Clutter from Oconee County Middle School their prize for her project on the American chestnut.
