Image: Holiday greetings from PBIO! This is our entry in the annual Miller Plant Sciences Holiday Door Decorating Contest. If you zoom in, you’ll see the names of everyone in the department inscribed on the bracts. And here’s a bonus bit of botanical knowledge for those who are unaware: the red structures on a poinsettia are bracts (i.e., modified leaves) not flowers. The flowers are the small, yellow/green structures in the center of the bracts.
