Image: Anna Wyngarden, a PhD student in the DeMarche lab, was a guest on the In Defense of Plants podcast on May 5. Anna is interested in rare and endemic plant species and their habitats, particularly their range limits and responses to climate change. On the podcast Anna shared how she is trying to solve some of the mysteries surrounding how plants like snorkelwort (Gratiola amphiantha), mat-forming quillwort (Isoetes tegetiformans), and black-spored quillwort (I. melanospora) eke out a living in tiny granite pools.
