I'm interested in how trees defend themselves against biotic threats. My dissertation research combines greenhouse screening and integrative omics to characterize the spectrum of brown spot needle blight resistance in commercial families of radiata pine. My hope is that my work can be used to assist breeders in developing varieties resistant to the disease.
